Your Story - Torie

In the beginning…

Torie’s story is a beautiful one, full of love, sentimentality and a desire to combine several meaningful pieces into one special one.
Torie had several sentimental pieces of jewellery, including a ring, pendant, bangle and bracelet, that she wanted to turn into her new engagement ring to upgrade her existing one. They were all pieces from her loved ones in her life and she wanted them turned into one wearable, but beautiful statement that would be her new engagement ring.

The Plot

Torie was very open to design ideas but wanted to use all the stones and the gold in the new piece. The pendant was a stunning topaz, and the ring was originally a 7 stone aquamarine band, but sadly one stones was missing. In reality, having 6 stones made it much easier to design with! We knew that the Topaz would form the central piece, but the aquamarine placement could have varied. After a few rough sketches and then a more refined one, Torie opted with a classic design of 3 stones either side in a triangle, rather than set into the band.

With sign off on the design it was off to the workshop for the transition to take place!

The Story Continues

Handing over the ring was a special moment when Torie opened the box. She was thrilled with her new ring, and it looked stunning on her hand. With a young daughter, Torie will pass this ring, already laden with sentimental meaning, on to her in years to come and it will continue to be a very special piece within the family.

"I asked Sophie for help creating a new engagement ring from several sentimental pieces of jewellery. Sophie created a design that was perfect. The end result was beautiful and I love staring at my new ring everyday. I would recommend working with Sophie to anyone. Thank you Sophie!"
