We were approached, Linda wanting to design some special earrings for a milestone birthday for her daughter, Sarah.
Linda knew exactly what Sarah was wanting as she had sent a few links to some earrings that she liked, and it was our job to make these earrings bespoke for Sarah.
We chatted about the specifics of what Sarah was after: gold, diamond size, drop length, style and out of these conversations, it became clear that Sarah was attracted to the possibility of using lab grown diamonds. This also meant that she could get the size of stone she wanted and remain in the budget that her mother had set. Linda and Sarah placed their trust in Sophie to source and pick the diamonds for the earrings. Sophie chose 0.4 carat round brilliant cut, E, VS1 lab grown diamonds. Sarah was also drawn to using 14k gold rather than 18k for several reasons including durability but also because of the slight colour difference the purity of the gold gives. When it came to drop length, Sarah could draw from her existing earring collection to answer this and make sure she was happy with how the earrings would sit.
Sarah set eyes on the earrings on her birthday and was thrilled with the result. She wore them for their inaugural night out at her birthday party and she looked stunning! We hope Sarah continues to have many more memorable moments wearing her special birthday earrings from her parents.
“Sophie was great from the start to finish of the process in helping me design earrings for a special present. With excellent advice on budget and quality of the materials, she kept me updated on the progress throughout and delivered an excellent result.”
