Your Story - Gemma & John

In the beginning…

Gemma and John got in touch with Sophie and asked her to create their wedding bands. Gemma had a beautiful diamond cluster engagement ring, but it wasn’t what’s called ‘wedfit’, which means that the setting sat flush to the finger. She wanted to have ger rings fit together rather than having a gap between them.

The Plot

Gemma was clear on one thing – the band was going to involve diamonds! Knowing this and that Gemma wanted the band to sit flush with her engagement ring, one of the first things that Sophie needed to do was look at the profile of Gemma’s ring and take a mould of it. This would ensure that the curvature of the band was correct. Next step was to source the right size and colour diamonds to fit the width of the band and match the colour of the diamonds in the engagement ring. This is important because when they sit side by side, if you have an E colour engagement ring and then have H colour diamonds in a wedding band, the difference will be noticeable. We also included a millegrain edge to the wedding band to be in keeping with the engagement ring. All the small details add up!

The Story Continues

When Gemma first saw her wedding band, she was clearly ecstatic and immediately tried it on. They fitted together beautifully! We love seeing how a piece of jewellery evokes such emotions and this stunning wedding ring will have admiring glances for years to come and will no doubt make Gemma smile and think about their special day.

"Fantastic value, service and speedy delivery. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sophie to everyone we know (in fact we already did!)"
