Buying jewellery, let alone designing it for someone else, can be a scary experience! However, we try to make the process as easy as possible, especially when it comes to Christmas present jewellery gifts! There’s a lot of pressure, it’s a busy time of year, so we recommend you get cracking on it ASAP. But if you are a last-minute kind of shopper – we have you covered too! Find out more in our 2024 Christmas Jewellery Buying Gift Guide.
If bespoke is what you’re thinking, then you need to be getting an appointment pronto! 8 weeks is generally the lead time for bespoke so if you want it by the 20th December we are looking at the 25th October to get things kicked off!
However, bespoke can also mean choosing the diamonds or gemstones for earrings or a pendant rather than trying to conjure an entire new piece from scratch, and that can be a much swifter process. Sourcing the stones, showing you and getting them set could be done on a much quicker time frame, so always good to bear in mind.
Purple Sapphire and Ruby Earrings
It maybe that you/your loved one has inherited some jewellery, or there is jewellery lurking in a safe/drawer that never gets worn. What’s the point in that when it can be reimagined into something fabulous and that fits the bill? You could present a beautiful sketch of the piece with an IOU note attached if you didn’t want to totally take the plunge and then you could both refine if needs be after Christmas.
We get asked for ready-to-wear items frequently, and if you’re a bit disorganised or can’t decide until the pressure is really upon you, then this is a good option! All you need to do is give a brief outline of what you’re after and a budget. Then sit back, relax and know that your Christmas gift will be sorted! From diamond earrings to tennis bracelets and more, gifting a classic, timeless piece of jewellery will never be a bad present!
If you know you want to give the Christmas Gift of bespoke jewellery, but you want to design the piece together, you can always book a future appointment as a gift. All you need to do is set the budget and parameters before the initial meeting and then enjoy the experience of seeing your loved one create something they truly love and tells your story together.

As there are lots of different types of jewellery you can buy – earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, broaches etc – it becomes more about what that piece represents and what makes it the perfect gift. It could be that it’s a birthstone, or anniversary month or the design resembles something deeply personal, or something you know they’ve always coveted.
